Scooter battery
A scooter battery provides constant energy (deep cycle energy) to the
machine. In contrast, starter batteries–like the ones used in
cars–provide only short bursts of energy to get the engine started.
It is not recommended to drain more than 50% of energy in a deep cycle
battery.
A scooter battery is required to power most brands of mobility devices,
including:
• Rascals
• Amigos
• Bulter Cycle Chairs
• Sparkies
Owners should always make sure that their scooter battery is charged.
Larger batteries will last longer but they’re heavier and difficult
to store or transport in a car. Batteries don’t need to be changed
often, but scooters should be serviced about every 12 years to ensure
they work properly.
